Falls Prevention Alliance Australia is excited to be part of this free event at the UNSW Health Translation Hub as part of April Falls Month. We’re looking forward to meeting community members, sharing practical advice, and connecting you with the latest in falls prevention.


About the event

Falls are among the most common causes of injury for older people, but many are preventable. As part of April Falls Month, the UNSW Health Translation Hub (HTH) is hosting a free community event to help you learn practical ways to assess your falls risk and improve balance, stay active, and reduce your risk of falls.


There will be light catering available.


What to expect

  • Balance and movement assessments and demonstrations

  • Practical tips for fall prevention at home and in the community

  • Information booths from UNSW and partner organisations focused on research and best practice on Falls Prevention

  • Friendly, accessible activities suitable for all fitness levels

  • Opportunity to ask questions and connect with health professionals and researchers in Falls Prevention
