Building a national coalition for change
Since launching in October 2025, Falls Prevention Alliance Australia has brought together researchers, clinicians, community organisations, governments and community members to advocate for a safer Australia.

The Falls Prevention Alliance Australia has brought together experts, organisations and community members to advocate for national action on falls prevention. Through a national policy workshop and a Federal Pre-Budget Submission, the Alliance has developed and promoted three key priorities: a National Falls Prevention Action Plan, a National Media and Public Engagement Strategy, and improved funding for evidence-based falls prevention services.

Community talks
Through community talks across Australia, Falls Prevention Alliance Australia raises awareness that falls are preventable, not an inevitable part of ageing. These sessions provide practical tips, evidence-based strategies, and information on support services to help older people and communities reduce fall risk.
Video education
We have developed short, engaging videos for social media to raise awareness and improve education about falls prevention. These videos share practical tips, evidence-based strategies, and key messages in an accessible format, helping reach a wider audience and encouraging older Australians and their communities to take simple steps to reduce fall risk.
Social media
The Falls Prevention Alliance uses social media to share evidence-based falls prevention messages, reaching a wide national audience. Across its platforms, the Alliance engages a growing community of followers, helping to spread awareness, education, and practical strategies to reduce falls risk among older Australians and their communities.
